Rosie O'Donnell's Daughter Chelsea Leaves Home Again

She has chosen to live with her birth mother.

O'Donnell's publicist told ABC News: "Chelsea made a decision when she turned 18 that she wanted to go to her birth mother. This was her choice."

Last week, O'Donnell took to Twitter and her website to announce that Chelsea was missing. She was 17 at the time.

"She was wearing a black sweatshirt hoodie, dark ripped blue jeans, women’s grey converse sneakers and a black backpack. Chelsea has a large tattoo on her right side of a dream catcher with the word ‘Breathe.’ She left home with her 6 month old therapy dog named Bear ... Chelsea stopped taking her medicine and is in need of medical attention," a statement read.

O'Donnell's rep added that Chelsea "like millions of people, lives with mental illness. It has been a difficult road for Chelsea and her family and they just want her back safe."

Hours later, she wrote on social media, "Chelsea has been found and is safe in police custody -- thank u all for the help and light #missingchildren."

New details later emerged from police that Chelsea O'Donnell took a bus last week to the Jersey Shore, where she spent the week away from home.
