Ryan Seacrest, Jenny McCarthy Share New Year’s Resolutions Ahead of ‘Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve’
Ryan Seacrest and Jenny McCarthy reveal their surprising New Year’s resolutions.
-- Ringing in the New Year on ABC tonight will be Ryan Seacrest and Jenny McCarthy, the host and co-host of “Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve.”
It's the fifth consecutive year that the two have hosted the show together, and in an interview with ABC’s Amy Robach that aired on “Good Morning America” on New Year’s Eve, they talked about how this show would be different.
“I would say just from the five years I've been here, it's the most performances,” McCarthy said, with Seacrest adding that 38 performances would be "crammed" into the broadcast.
Performers include Iggy Azalea, One Direction, Elton John, Lady Antebellum and Taylor Swift.
McCarthy told Robach that she first met her now-husband, Donnie Wahlberg, on the show back when he was a member of the New Kids on the Block boy band. McCarthy and Wahlberg got married in August.
Seacrest talked to Robach about turning 40 on Christmas Eve.
“I'm just getting acclimated to it. But I'm excited,” he said.
Asked by Robach whether he felt like a 40-year-old, Seacrest replied, laughing: “No, but – I look it.”
McCarthy and Seacrest were put to the test when Robach hit them with a lightning round of questions.
“What's your new year's resolution for 2015?” she asked.
Seacrest replied: ”To find someone to kiss on New Year's Eve,” while McCarthy answered: “To stop self-criticizing myself.”
Asked what they would first buy in 2015, Seacrest said “scented candles” while McCarthy replied: “Probably a trainer.”
“If you weren't doing the New Year's Eve show, where would we find you?” Robach asked, and the co-host’s answers were almost identical.
“Literally, on my couch,” Seacrest said.
“Sitting on the sofa in thermals,” McCarthy said.
Asked what super power he would choose if they could have one in 2015, Seacrest said: “Grow taller.”
"Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve" with Seacrest will air Wednesday night beginning at 8 p.m., ET on ABC.
