Sarah Palin to Star in Courtroom TV Show

Say hello to Judge Mama Grizzly.

— -- Say hello to Judge Mama Grizzly.

The news of the "Judge Judy"-style show was first reported by People, but the producers caution the former Alaska governor has only signed a production deal. The pilot needs to be shot first and then the series will attempt to be sold.

"When you look at Gov. Palin her personality, her style, her wide appeal, and the fact that she is so incredibly telegenic kind of make her a natural for this format," Howard Bragman, spokesperson for the producers told ABC News. "She's not afraid to pass judgment."

Bragman added: "Whether you agree or disagree she has a point of view and that's what drives these shows."

Larry Lyttle, the producer behind "Judge Judy" and "Judge Joe Brown," will be the executive producer.

Bragman called "Judge Judy" "one of a kind" but stressed there is "room for other players in this format."

The deal is with the Montana-based production company Warm Springs.

Unlike some other reality-TV judges, the former GOP vice presidential nominee is not an attorney.
