'Scandal' Stars 1-on-1: Guillermo Diaz, Katie Lowes Are 'Not OK' With Shocking Finale 'Twist'
The actors who play Huck and Quinn turn the tables and interview each other.
-- The stars of “Scandal” have their lips sealed about the season finale Thursday evening, but Guillermo Diaz, who plays Huck on the hit ABC show, said there’s a scary “twist” in Huck’s storyline that will change everything.
“There is a such a twist in this finale script that I think a character that people ... feel a certain way about, they are going to feel a completely different way about this person,” Diaz said in an interview with co-star Katie Lowes.
“I agree with you,” said Lowes, who plays Quinn. “That’s not OK.”
“And it’s not OK. It’s kind of ... very scary,” Diaz added.
Lowes and Diaz sat down and interviewed one another for “Good Morning America” and asked each other nine questions ranging from who the show’s biggest villain is to how they keep a straight face during torture scenes.
“I feel like we do a pretty good job at that. I think every other scene we don’t keep straight faces -- during, like, any scenes about the case or, like, when we are all in a group together,” Lowes said. “But I think when you and I are torturing, we might be joking around and then, as soon as they call, ‘Rolling speed. Action,’ we're in.”
Diaz’s favorite scene to film was the teeth-pulling scene where Huck tortures Quinn, he said.
Because of that, Lowes says she is most often asked by fans: "Can I see your teeth? Are your teeth OK?"
“You should bite them,” Diaz joked.
The characters' interview quickly turned silly when Diaz asked who the better kisser is: Huck or Charlie.
“Wow, it just got racy in here! It depends on the day,” Lowes said. "They kiss differently. Charlie and Quinn are more PG-13 relationship-y. And Huck and Quinn are more NC-17.”
