The former "Will and Grace" actor announced on Facebook that he married his longtime love, Scott Icenogle, last week.
"Took us 8 years but we did it!" he wrote.
Hayes, 44, first came out as gay in 2010, in an interview with The Advocate. At the very end of the article, he mentioned "a special someone in my life."
"That’s it. That’s all I need," he said of Icenogle. "I don’t need events. I don’t do a lot. I live my life like an 85-year-old man. I’m just quiet. It’s fantastic."
