Oscar the Grouch’s trash can is now joined by a recycling bin, Big Bird has a brand new nest, Abby Cadabby has a new community garden and Elmo has moved into a brownstone.
Alan Cumming, Tracee Ellis Ross and Gwen Stefani are among the celebrities who will make cameos on the show.
“Sesame Street” will also continue to air on PBS.
The partnership with HBO was announced in last November. HBO has the rights to air the next five seasons of the program.
"Sesame Street" has been on the air since 1969.
