Shannen Doherty Shares Insight Into Radiation Treatments
The actress spoke about a stranger's reaction to her cancer.
— -- Shannen Doherty has been very open about her battle with breast cancer over the past few months, posting positive photos about strength and the importance of family.
She has taken to Instagram and other social media platforms to share personal photos of her treatments and show how her friends are rallying behind her during this sensitive time.
Her latest post involved a stranger, whom she says reacted in horror when she explained she just had a radiation treatment. She began radiation last month after undergoing chemotherapy weeks before.
"Today, we were in an elevator and I was asked how I was feeling. I responded by saying that I had just gotten a radiation treatment so therefore very tired. The random girl on the elevator with us physically lunged away as far as she could," Doherty wrote in her post.
Doherty, 45, continued, "She then proceeded to look horrified for the next 3 floors. Just a heads up.... 1. You can't catch it 2. The radiation won't leak out of me and go into you. Hope that helps. #cancertruths from the #cancerslayer."
This story is the latest in those that have accompanied Doherty's posts. Just a couple days ago, she posted a picture of her mother's continued support through the process.
"Another day of #radiation. Today my mom came with me because Even though I'm so tired after, I'm going Christmas shopping!!! ... I love the holidays," she wrote.
She's also featured her husband Kurt Iswarienko, who has been right by her side every step of the way.
