Sharon Osbourne Reveals She Once Cut Her Wrist to 'Prove' Love for Ozzy
"I've never discussed it out of embarrassment," she said.
-- During "The Talk's" Secret Week, co-host Sharon Osbourne revealed a serious story from her past about what she did to prove her love to husband Ozzy Osbourne when they first started dating.
This was such a serious secret, she had never told her children.
"I've never discussed it out of embarrassment of how stupid I was at the time to have done such a thing to myself," she said yesterday.

Osbourne wanted to get candid and share this story with everyone because "it's a lesson learned."
"It was something that was done when I was 27. I was just going out with Ozzy at the time, we were working together and dating at the same time," she continued. "He was married, had two children. I was free and single. When we first got together, we would drink a lot together. That's what we did. We had a session of romance, drinking, partying -- it's about 4 a.m. and he says to me, 'How much do you love me? I don't know if this relationship is going to last.'"
Sharon, 61, responded by saying she would do anything for the man she eventually married and has been with for more than 30 years. She even said "I'd give my life for you."
In an effort to "prove it," she did something she admitted was foolish.
"I'm very dramatic as you all know," she said. "I'm like, 'I'll show you how much I love you!' So, I went to a room service table that was still in the room, covered with old fries and burgers and steaks, and there was a steak knife. So, I get the knife and I go, 'I love you so much,' slash, slash, slash on my wrist [miming cutting her left wrist]."
"Unfortunately for me, I kind of went too deep and it wouldn't stop bleeding," she said. "I got very sober, very quickly."
Osbourne called an ambulance and tried to explain to them that she was just drunk and in no way was it attempted suicide, but they couldn't take her at her word without evaluating her first.
"They took me to the hospital," she added. "I'm like, 'No, I promise you, it was not attempted suicide, I promise you!' Then, they put me on lock down ... called in all the psych doctors ... I was on lock down for being over dramatic and drunk at the time. There was nothing anybody could do, Ozzy and I weren't married."
So, she said it was up to doctors to decide if she was of sound mind to come out and in typical Sharon Osbourne fashion, she joked that that's "very hard to prove."
Osbourne warned anyone out there who harms themselves or has to prove their love to someone, "let me tell you, these scars are a big embarrassment. I tell everyone I was attacked by a dog."
"Which I was, I was attacked by a Doberman, but it was the other arm," she continued.
