April 12, 2011 — -- She may be 76-years-old, but Shirley MacLaine once engaged in behavior that would make today's young actresses raise an eyebrow.

The Oscar winner turned bestselling author turned new age spiritualist shared some little-known facts about her life with Oprah Winfrey on Monday's edition of "Oprah."

She opened up further during a talk at New York City's 92nd Street YMCA Monday night. It's all pegged to her new book, "I'm Over All That: And Other Confessions," on sale now.

Check out seven of Shirley MacLaine's revelations below:

From "Oprah:

On her affairs: "I had many love affairs; and a lot of awful lovers. I wasn't into 'sexscapades' but I did try it once. I had three people in one day."

On her open relationship: "I had an open relationship with my husband [Hollywood producer Steve Parker]. I had other affairs and so did he. But we were very good friends."

On the Hollywood players she coveted: "I had quite a relationship with Robert Mitchum. And Yves Montand -- I was attracted to some of the directors. ... And everyone knows that what happened on a set stays on a set. No one talked."

On marriage: "I would never marry again."

From her book:

On being photographed by paparazzi: "I have no solution for the paparazzi who jump out at you in highly inappropriate environments. Except perhaps murder. But then, even paparazzi can be reincarnated."

On her weight fluctuations: "I never realized that my weight was visibly changing [in Alfred Hitchcock's 'The Trouble With Harry']: maybe 10 pounds from one scene to another when the film was assembled. The president of Paramount called me and asked me what I thought I was doing. I said, 'Eating what I couldn't afford before.' He said, 'Now you've got some money, you're not going to starve. Quit or we'll have to shoot retakes.' That hadn't occurred to me. Hitch obviously had a food problem. But with him, carrying extra weight was his image. I was a different story."

On her visions of past lives: "I had a past-life experience as a harem girl in the home of a pasha in Turkey and became physically nauseous with the memory of my confinement and lack of freedom. I learned how the major religions intersect and witnessed Coptic Christians living peacefully side by side with Muslims."
