Singer Adele Premieres Much-Awaited New Single 'Hello'
"Hello" is the first single from her new album, titled "25."
-- “Phenomenal” is how singer Adele has described the reaction to her new album previewed on BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show on Friday.
“It’s a dream come true to make music for people to hear and for that many people let you into their lives,” Adele told broadcaster Nick Grimshaw.
"Hello" is a “very intimate” song and is part of an album, titled "25," scheduled to be released on Nov. 20, about relationships, Adele said.
“It took me a while to figure out what I wanted to write about,” Adele told Grimshaw. “It couldn’t be 21 again because I’m not in that place anymore. I had to find another part of my life.”
Adele revealed that she wrote an album about being a mom -- she gave birth to son Angelo with boyfriend Simon Konecki in 2012 -- but decided it was "pretty boring" and instead turned to another life event: Turning 25.
“I can’t blag it anymore, I can’t get away with things I used to be able to get away with,” the singer said. It’s the first album she is releasing since “21” in 2011, and she described to the BBC how nervous she was about her fans reactions.
“I feel that I’m going to burst into tears,” Adele said, “but I'm really excited and relieved because I’ve been sitting on this for a while so I don’t have to hide it anymore. I can breathe.”
Some fans have already taken to social media saying the “it couldn’t be any better,” and one Twitter user saying the song was “sending shivers down my spine.”
The singer posted about her much-anticipated album on her Instagram account earlier in the week and said it was "quite a moment" in her house.
The British star referenced Lionel Richie, who has song of the same name, and said: "Me and Lionel, we definitely have got to do something. Lionel, I'm putting it out there."
