Sofia Vergara, Ellie Goulding: Why Marchesa Met Gala Dresses Took More Than 1,000 Hours to Make
Get the details of the dresses worn by Sofia Vergara, Ellie Goulding and others.
-- At Monday's Met Gala, the stars wore intricate gowns that fit with the night's theme, "China: Through the Looking Glass."
And while it took the stars a few hours to prep for the A-list event, their dresses had been in the works for weeks.
Marchesa designers Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig outfitted Sofia Vergara, Ellie Goulding and Poppy Delevingne for the big evening, as well as themselves.
"Each of these women have their own distinct personal style," the designers said. "We are thrilled to see how they embody the confident spirit of Marchesa on the red carpet."
From the custom gown they made with Vergara to the customizing they did for Goulding's dress, each piece of clothing took hours upon hours and tons of energy.
