'Star Wars' Fans Get Surprised by 'The Force Awakens' Actors on 'GMA'
Fans paid tribute to "Star Wars" by making a recreation of one of the trailers.
-- Clever “Star Wars” fans from Fresno, Calif., paid tribute to the highly anticipated upcoming film, “The Force Awakens,” by recreating one its trailers shot by shot.
Bryan Harley, Roque Rodriguez, Brandon Patrick Johnson and Kia Vassiliades, along with some other friends, built the props and acted, edited and produced the trailer, which has gone viral with more than 830,000 views on YouTube.
“We’re just huge ‘Star Wars’ fans,” Harley said on “Good Morning America” this morning. “We’re really excited for the movie, but we kind of remake these trailers for fun and we post them on our YouTube channel. We actually have a film festival back in Fresno where we’re from for homemade remakes.”

The video was certainly a labor of love, requiring many hours of hard work.
“It took about three weeks or so, three weeks of work, on weekends and right after work,” Rodriguez recalled. “So we just put a lot of time and effort into it and a lot of creativity.”
The fans believed they were only on “GMA” to discuss their homemade tribute trailer. But they were about to be surprised by meeting two of the “The Force Awakens” stars, John Boyega and Daisy Ridley.
“[It was] very creative. You guys were on a very expensive budget,” Boyega joked.
“So creative and so fun, but dude, you sweat just like me,” he teased Johnson.
On Vassiliades’s performance as Rey, Ridley said it was “amazing."
