-- The new "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" trailer hit the web Thursday and officially took over the Internet.
Fans were mostly pleased with the new footage of the movie out in December, especially the shots at the end featuring Harrison Ford back as his iconic character Han Solo.
After the trailer hit and director J.J. Abrams' panel at "Star Wars: Celebration," the man himself spoke to ABC News about the new movie and how happy he was about the fans’ excitement.
"You just never know exactly what is going to work and what’s going to hit," he said. "When Han Solo appeared on that screen and there was a roar in that room like you heard ... that to me, I was so grateful that they were happy -- as happy as we were working on the movie, they were happy to see Han Solo back."
Abrams, 48, also revealed his one takeaway he wants fans to get from the seventh movie in the iconic franchise that began in 1977.
"For me, I hope people take away when they see 'The Force Awakens' is the sense that in the most ordinary life, the most extraordinary things can happen," he added. "And that’s what I felt when I saw the first ‘Star Wars’ film when it first came out."
