'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Toys - All the Details of the New Line
And see the new lightsabers, X-Wing and more!
-- The new the LEGO "Star Wars" Millennium Falcon and adorable BB-8 droid by Sphero were both unveiled during "Good Morning America" on Thursday as part of a global unboxing of the new "Force Awakens" line, and there's a lot to discuss!
BB-8 is the trusted droid of rebel fighter Poe, played by Oscar Isaac, in the highly-anticipate "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." The app-enabled BB-8 by Sphero talks like the lovable droid. It also spins and rolls, all off your smartphone.
Evan from EvanTubeHD unboxed both the coveted toys, including the iconic Falcon. The revamped ship, piloted by the great Han Solo, features a slightly new design and detectable cockpit and includes 6 minifigures, including Solo and the lovable Chewbacca.
The epic unboxings on "GMA" came after a full night of toy reveals accross the globe starting late Wednesday and continuing until later this morning. Some of the toys unveiled included the Jedi Master Lightsaber, Kylo Ren's three-pronged lightsaber and Poe's X-Wing.
Aside from the movie's premier in December, the "Star Wars" unboxing was what fans have been waiting for all year.
The global unboxings began at 5:45 p.m. EST yesterday and the Jedi lightsaber, which comes with several attachments, including multiple colors, was the first toy revealed live from Sydney, Australia. Kids can build their own lightsaber with the classic Jedi colors like blue and green.
Next, the unboxings continued in Los Angeles. The hosts of the “Star Wars” livestream got the first look at Poe Dameron's black X-Wing Fighter toy from Hasbro. Poe, as you know is played by rising action star Oscar Isaac. The X-Wing is the iconic fighter that dates all the way back to the first “Star Wars” film in 1977 and the same fighter that took down the dreaded Death Star.
The details are incredible, as pointed out by the hosts and Poe even comes with an attachable helmet. The Fighter itself comes with a little BB-8, Poe's droid, that pops up from the fighter and helps pilot the craft. A LEGO version came later in the night.
Paris opened up possibly the most ominous toy of the night thus far. Much has been said about Kylo Ren’s three-pronged lightsaber and this Disney Store exclusive was revealed in one of the most iconic cities in the world. The red lightsaber has been featured in trailers thus far and shows that Supreme Leader Snoke’s most dangerous ally, Ren, is going to be a force to reckon with.
