'Star Wars' Star Carrie Fisher Shows Off 35-Pound Weight Loss
See what the 'Star Wars' icon looks like now!
May 15, 2014 -- Fans everywhere recently rejoiced when they found out Carrie Fisher and the gang all signed on for the new "Star Wars" movie.
Fisher stepped out Wednesday at an auction event in California, showing a 35-pound weight loss in preparing to play Princess Leia again in "Episode VII."
Fisher's mother Debbie Reynolds stood by her side and told the media that her daughter is not allowed to talk about the new film, though she can touch on her weight loss.
"It's trippy that you do a sequel 35 years later," Fisher told reporters in a video posted on the Daily Mail. "That's right, they didn't hire me, they hired me minus 35 pounds."

Reynolds added, "She's worked her body off for one year to not have a body."
Reynolds told Extra earlier in the week that "she's been on a diet ever since, because you know, you have to be up to par, so she looks terrific."
Any chance she'll sport the gold metal bikini from 1983's "Return of the Jedi"?
