P. Diddy's Wild Ride
July 18, 2001 -- Sean "P. Diddy" Combs is in trouble with the law again. Miami police are mulling over what to do about a June 9 incident, in which the rapper and sometime actor was allegedly driving a friend's Ferrari recklessly and at a high speed, Launch.com reports.
Police reportedly watched as Combs nearly struck a pedestrian, then nearly mowed down several passersby when he pulled up in front of a strip club. When the police entered the strip club in search of Combs, he could not be found.
Police apprehended Jovar Andrews, who had been Combs' passenger, and reportedly found a small amount of marijuana in the Ferrari Combs had been driving. Andrews' attorney told the Miami Herald that the marijuana didn't belong to his client.
Detective Delrish Moss told the New York Post, "There are some things Puffy has to answer for, but this isn't a life-threatening type of crime." A spokesperson for Combs questioned the accuracy of the police report but made no further comment, according to various media reports.
Combs just released his latest album, P. Diddy and the Bad Boy Family … The Saga Continues, last week, which he recorded following his March acquittal on bribery and weapons charges in New York.
