Janet Announces All for You Tour Plans

April 27, 2001 -- When Janet Jackson says "All for You" — the title of her new single and album — she means everybody. Or at least, she will give just about everybody the chance to see her live, as she has put together a major North American tour, with 43 dates already confirmed.

The outing will kick off July 5 in Vancouver, British Columbia, and over the next three months, the arena tour will hit both coasts, the Midwest, and the South — in addition to four shows in Canada.

Jackson's "All for You" has been the No. 1 song for the past four weeks on the Billboard Hot 100. It is also widely expected that her album of the same name — her first since 1997's The Velvet Rope — will debut at the top of the charts.

R&B act 112, who released Part III in March, has been tapped to open the shows on at least part of the tour.

Following the North American dates, Jackson will take her act overseas to Europe, where she's planning at least 25 more shows.
