Newton Is New Mom, Bello Expecting
September 21, 2000 -- The trial of home birthing was hardly a Mission: Impossible for actress Thandie Newton, who delivered a baby daughter Sunday at her London home.
Newton, 27, and her husband, An Ideal Husband director Oliver Parker, had planned on a natural birth for their first child. The Mission: Impossible 2 co-star had said she made the decision based on her high tolerance for pain and the horror stories she'd heard about the use of anesthetics during labor.
The couple named their new daughter Ripley, USA Today reports. All are doing "wonderfully well," Newton rep Mara Buxbaum told the paper.
Coyote Ugly babe Maria Bello, 33, is pregnant, according to the New York Daily News. Bello, who can currently be seen in the Gwyneth Paltrow karaoke comedy Duets, and boyfriend Dan McDermott, head of the TV department at DreamWorks, are due to welcome their child in February.
