Taylor Swift Is Forbes' Highest-Paid Musician in the World for 2016
Forbes released its annual list of highest-paid musicians.
— -- Taylor Swift has already topped Forbes’ lists of highest-paid women in music and highest-earning celebrity under 30, so it probably comes as no surprise that she’s now been crowned Forbes’ highest-paid musician in the world.
From June 1, 2015, to June 1, 2016, the singer hauled in an estimated $170 million, thanks to her megasuccessful 1989 tour and various product endorsements.
One Direction came in at No. 2 with $110 million, and Adele ranked third with $80.5 million.
According to Forbes, Adele is one of the few acts that still makes more on recorded music than anything else. She famously turns down any potential endorsement deals that come her way.
Madonna comes in fourth on the list with $76.5 million, and Rihanna rounds out the top five with $75 million.
