-- Are you ready for yet another new Taylor Swift song?
The pop star previewed a new song from her forthcoming album, "Reputation," on Saturday night during ESPN's airing of the Florida State–Alabama football game. The song, "... Ready for It?" was used in a teaser leading into the game.
It was also used in a preview on Saturday nigh for ABC's new fall season — heard between clips of series like "Scandal," "Speechless," "Dancing With the Stars" and "Designated Survivor."
The entire song is now available, and according to EW, it's the first track on “Reputation.” The track describes the beginning of a romantic relationship, with Swift singing aggressively, "Knew he was a killer / First time that I saw him / Wondered how many girls / He had loved and left haunted ... Younger than my exes / But he act like such a man, so / I see nothing better / I keep him forever / Like a vendetta.”
In the prechorus, she sings, "So I see how this is gonna go / Touch me and you'll never be alone / Island breeze and lights down low / No one has to know."
In more sweetly sung chorus, Swift sings, "In the middle of the night / In my dreams I know I’m gonna be with you / So I take my time … Are you ready for it?"
Swift is dating British actor Joe Alwyn.
She has done her part for Hurricane Harvey relief. A note on the Houston Food Bank's Facebook page reads, "Taylor Swift has generously made a very sizable donation to Houston Food Bank in honor of her mother who graduated from the University of Houston. We thank you, Taylor, and we thank everyone for donating to help rebuild our community."
