Teresa Giudice Rang in the New Year with Friends and Family
The "RHOJ" star, who was recently released from prison, celebrated with family.
-- Teresa Giudice spent New Years surrounded by family and friends.
Melissa Gorga, Giudice's sister-in-law and "Real Housewives of New Jersey" co-star, posted a photo to Instagram that shows Giudice having fun with friends.
Giudice was released just last week from federal prison after serving more than 11 months for tax fraud.
Another photo shows Giudice also rang in 2016 with her brother, Joe Gorga, and his children.
Fans of the hit Bravo series may see the significance as for years Giudice and Melissa Gorga had a strained relationship, which played out on TV. The tension even caused her to drift from her brother. Still, it seems Giudice's legal issues have brought the two families closer than ever before.
Photos posted by friend Robyn Levy during the top-of-the-year house party show that Giudice, 43, was also with her husband, Joe Guidice, and their children.
The reality TV star was released from the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Connecticut, on Dec. 23, 2015. She was reunited with her husband and their four daughters in their Montville, New Jersey, home as opposed to a halfway house, as was originally expected.
Giudice pleaded guilty last year to tax fraud and was sentenced to 15 months in prison but was released early for good behavior, her lawyer James Leonard Jr. told ABC News. He added that she did not receive preferential treatment.
The time spent with her family will be short-lived. Joe Giudice, who also pleaded guilty to tax fraud, is scheduled to begin his 41-month prison sentence in March.
