— -- After watching her famous dad from the sidelines, Jamie Foxx's daughter Corinne Foxx is ready to take center stage.

The 21-year-old model-actress will serve as Miss Golden Globe during this year's ceremony, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced Tuesday.

"I've known for about three weeks. Maybe like a month and I was so excited," Foxx told People Tuesday. "I had all of this energy and I'm not lying, for an hour straight, just jumped around my house and was bouncing off the walls, and was Googling all of this stuff about Miss Golden Globes so I was really excited."

As for her Oscar-winning dad's reaction, she said, "My dad, he's a little bit emotional. He won't admit it, but he had tears in his eyes and he was so happy for me to kind of have my own thing now."

The annual title is traditionally given to the son or daughter of a celebrity, whose job is to assist in handing out the awards on the big night. Past honorees include Greer Grammar, daughter of Kelsey Grammar, Dakota Johnson, daughter of Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson, Sam Fox, son of Michael J. She's Never Gone Public With Her Mother

Like her dad, Foxx has stayed mum about who her mother is. Jamie Foxx explained to Oprah Winfrey in 2013 why he keeps the information private. "It’s why I don’t tell people who my daughters’ moms are," he said. "I can be in a monogamous relationship, but my motto is, whoever you date, don’t let people know."
