5 Things to Know About Miss Golden Globe Corinne Foxx
Yes, she's Oscar-winner Jamie Foxx's daughter.
-- After watching her famous dad from the sidelines, Jamie Foxx's daughter Corinne Foxx is ready to take center stage.
The 21-year-old model-actress will serve as Miss Golden Globe during this year's ceremony, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced Tuesday.
"I've known for about three weeks. Maybe like a month and I was so excited," Foxx told People Tuesday. "I had all of this energy and I'm not lying, for an hour straight, just jumped around my house and was bouncing off the walls, and was Googling all of this stuff about Miss Golden Globes so I was really excited."

As for her Oscar-winning dad's reaction, she said, "My dad, he's a little bit emotional. He won't admit it, but he had tears in his eyes and he was so happy for me to kind of have my own thing now."
The annual title is traditionally given to the son or daughter of a celebrity, whose job is to assist in handing out the awards on the big night. Past honorees include Greer Grammar, daughter of Kelsey Grammar, Dakota Johnson, daughter of Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson, Sam Fox, son of Michael J. Fox and Tracy Pollan, and Rumer Willis, daughter of Demi Moore and Bruce Willis.
Here are five things you need to know about Foxx before the Jan. 10, 2016, ceremony:
She's No Stranger to Awards Shows
Foxx first accompanied her dad to the Oscars in 2005, when he won the Academy Award for best actor for his starring role in "Ray." Since then, she has been spotted beside him on the red carpet for numerous events, including the Grammys and the MTV Movie Awards.
She's Smart, Too
When she's not rubbing elbows with other famous people, Foxx enjoys being a student at the University of Southern California, and often tweets about her college life to her 33,000 followers.
She Made Her Debut
A former debutante, Foxx should have no problem appearing poised on stage at the Globes. Like other celeb offspring -- including Demi Moore and Bruce Willis’ daughters Tallulah and Scout and Sylvester Stallone’s daughter Sophia Rose -- she made her debut at the annual Bal des Debutantes at L'Hotel de Crillon in Paris last November.
She Changed Her Name
For years, Foxx was known by her father's birth surname, Bishop. The Oscar winner, 47, was born Eric Marlon Bishop, but when he started in the entertainment business, he changed his name to Jamie Foxx as a tribute to comedian Redd Foxx. Somewhere in the last year, Corinne Foxx adopted the same surname.
She's Never Gone Public With Her Mother
Like her dad, Foxx has stayed mum about who her mother is. Jamie Foxx explained to Oprah Winfrey in 2013 why he keeps the information private. "It’s why I don’t tell people who my daughters’ moms are," he said. "I can be in a monogamous relationship, but my motto is, whoever you date, don’t let people know."
Corinne is big sister to the "Django Unchained" star's other daughter, 5-year-old Annalise.
