Thiessen and her husband Brady Smith are already parents to daughter Harper, 4.
"We are excited to announce the news that we are expecting," the actress, 40, wrote on Instagram. "Harper could not be more thrilled to have a sibling and a playmate."
Thiessen told online magazine Sweden with Love how excited she was to try and expand her family and that her and her husband were "definitely trying."
"With Harper it happened right away," she said, adding that she doesn't think she's currently pregnant. "I’m hoping it’ll be as easy this time around."
