Tiger's Blood: Sheen-Themed Cocktails Go Viral

March 8, 2011 -- Now you, too, can have tiger blood.

It was inevitable, but Charlie Sheen is no longer the only person attempting to profit from the high-profile antics of one Charlie Sheen.

"I have a different constitution, I have a different brain, I have a different heart," he told 20/20 last week. Then he uttered the five words that would go down in instant infamy: "I got tiger blood, man."

Now, days later, you can get Tiger's Blood cocktails at restaurants from Denver to downtown Manhattan.

"It was hard to avoid the Charlie Sheen storm over the past week or so. We created a cocktail here while we were having our weekly marketing meeting," Tara Fougner, publicist for TY KU spirits told ABC News. "We had no intention of ever releasing it. But bars and restaurants have begun asking for it. Although, I wish it were tied to something a little more high-end."

The Tiger's Blood cocktail Fougner's team cooked up is essentially a Bloody Mary with a sake base. One bar, Sully's House in Chicago, which already had a relationship with TY KU, began offering the cocktail immediately at $5 a glass. Sales have been brisk, reports manager Scott Mortier.

"Anything you can do in the bar business to gain a little extra attention," he said. "Quite honestly, I'll probably keep it going. It seems like this Charlie Sheen thing is going to go on for quite a while."

Not to be outdone, hip-hop mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs (who also happens to be a spokesman for Ciroc vodka) took to Twitter with his own Tiger's Blood cocktail -- one that includes a berry-infused vodka with cranberry juice.

Hash 55, a hookah bar in Midtown Manhattan, is also getting in on the tiger train. Their terrifying-sounding cocktail is another riff on a bloody mary which includes vodka, harissa, wasabi powder, olive juice and sherry.

Not everyone is on board, however. South Beach's Red the Steakhouse briefly contemplated offering a "Charlie Sheen collection" of cocktails, including the Two and a Half Sheets to the Wind martini and a Tigers' Blood Mojito. They ended up thinking better of it, though.

"We just didnt want to get caught up in all of this," general manager Sal Geraci told ABC News. "We are a bit more high-end for something like that."

Directions for your own TY-ger Blood cocktail:

3 oz. tomato juice

1.5 oz. TY KU Sake

pinch of wasabi

dash of soy sauce

squeeze of lime

Shake ingredients hard over ice. Garnish with celery stalk, and begin winning.
