"At my wedding and in my life, The Best Man. RIP," he wrote.
Bergeron, 60, skipped last week's show to be with his father. On Monday, he shared a photo from his dressing room, captioning it, "Laughter is the best medicine," and paid tribute to his dad during the broadcast.
"My dad loved this show," he said, according to Us Weekly. "Never missed an episode, and I'd like to think somewhere that he didn't miss this one."
