Tony Danza Breaks Down While Talking About Late Mother
The actor couldn't gat a word out about his beloved mom.
-- While on the "Dr. Oz" show earlier this month, Tony Danza started to talk about a near-death experience.
But since that experience came around the same time he lost his mother in 1993, he just couldn't continue explaining it without breaking down.
Danza, 63, was an avid skier years ago and had a "catastrophic" injury, according to Oz.
"I hit a tree skiing backwards," he told the audience. "I broke my back ... I broke eight ribs."
Later, the "Who's the Boss" star added, "The reason I fell is because I lost my mother."
He had lost his mother the June before the accident and was thinking about her.
"And every Christmas, you go through this thing, where you miss the people that aren't there anymore," Danza said of when he went skiing for the holidays.
Danza shook off the emotions and joked, "I'm just a bit of a cry baby," as the audience applauded his honestly about his strong love for his mother.
