The affair was first reported in December. Shortly after, Spelling, 40, and McDermott, 47, allowed cameras to film the aftermath of his infidelity and his stay in rehab.
In another clip obtained by the Daily Mail, McDermott has a friend over, who asks him why he cheated.
"Cause I didn't think that I would get caught," he said. "I was drinking and using drugs man. I was not dealing with things that happened to me in the past. It's not like I was looking for sex."
He added that his relationship and sex life with Spelling was "solid."
