Tracy Morgan Said He Contemplated Suicide After Near-Fatal Accident

The comedian also said he visited the afterlife.

Morgan, 47, was seriously injured in June 2014 after the bus he was riding in was struck by a truck. Morgan's friend, comedian James McNair, died in the collision.

Morgan also said that when he was hospitalized in a coma, he visited the afterlife, even running into his late father, Jimmy, who passed away from AIDS when the comedian was 19.

"He was the one who said, 'Go home, son. I ain't ready for you yet,'" Morgan said. "I don't think I cheated death. I think this was the plan. My room wasn't ready."

"I still have s--- here to do. It's gonna take more than 18 wheels for me to get out of here. I have to raise my girl, raise my wife, raise my family," he continued. "I'm needed!"

Morgan also revealed in the magazine that when he awoke from the coma he was blind for six days. The comedian said he still has memory issues, headaches and walks with a limp, but he's ready to get back to performing.
