Tyrese Gibson Reveals He's Looking for a Wife, 'I'm Nothing Until I Find' Her
The actor is also giving out relationship advice on "It's Not You, It's Men."
-- Tyrese Gibson hasn't been romantically linked to anyone since his 2009 divorce. Still, he revealed he's looking for a wife.
"I'm nothing until I find my wife," Gibson told ABC News.
Gibson split from his wife of two years, Norma, in 2009. The two have one child together -- an 8-year-old daughter named Shayla.
"Nobody wants to be alone," Gibson, 37, added. "Look, that's going to change soon. I believe it."
The "Furious 7" star admitted that his hard work ethic can often get in the way of finding his mate. But don't feel sorry for him, the actor said he's dating.
Just in case his future wife is reading this, Gibson detailed what he's looking for.
"I love the femininity, the softness, the energy [of a woman]. I love a woman that's still in tune with her femininity because so many women [feel] they need to 'survive' in a man's world so they find themselves being more masculine in order to demand and command respect."
Gibson is now doling out relationship advice on his new show with Rev. Run, OWN's "It's Not You, It's Men."
Although he's single, Gibson said he's not worried about viewers questioning his credibility.
"I never said I had credibility," he clarified, when asked. "I just have my truth and my truth is I am single but I'm not single just because. I'm actually single because I'm smart enough and experienced enough to not just go cuddle up and lock up with somebody just because."
"I am flawed. I am not God. I am not a prophet. I am not a psychic but I know some s***. That's for sure," he added.
