Uzo Aduba Says ‘Orange Is the New Black’ Season 4 Is a Go
The "Crazy Eyes" actress says the cast will start filming Season 4 in June.
-- It’s official. Uzo Aduba, the breakout “Orange Is the New Black” star who plays Suzanne “Crazy Eyes” Warren, has revealed to “Good Morning America” that the ladies behind bars will be back for a fourth season.
“Season 4 is now the new news,” Aduba said in Times Square this morning. "In June we’re going to go back to work. Netflix just let us know we’re going to be doing a new season.”

The actress says she thinks the series has been so wildly successful because “people see a lot of themselves in it.”
“I think people find themselves surprisingly relating to a lot of these characters,” she explained. “It’s not just exclusively about inmates. These are people’s mothers, daughters, sisters, friends, neighbors, employees, and people can relate to those struggles and the challenges of just trying to make it through every day. And I think also it’s this idea that good people-- good people-- can make mistakes.”
Aduba, who grew up outside Boston, has been particularly busy lately. She’s preparing to run the Boston Marathon on Monday, which she says is “very exciting.”
“I’m running for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute which is a very personal cause,” she said. “26.2 miles is a long way, it’s not a joke, but I’m ready to do it for these incredible people who fight every single day of their life, every single minute just to live.”
The highly anticipated Season 3 of “OITNB” debuts exclusively on Netflix June 12.
