Valerie Harper Taken to Hospital in Maine as a Precaution after Feeling Ill

Harper was diagnosed with terminal cancer in 2013.

The 75-year-old actress, diagnosed with terminal cancer in 2013, has been featured in the Ogunquit Playhouse's "Nice Work If You Can Get It" and "after reporting that she was not feeling well" last night, she went in for for precautionary reasons.

"She is resting comfortably and will remain in the hospital," a release on the playhouse's website stated.

Cheryl Farley, director of publicity at the playhouse, told ABC News that "everyone is just being careful with her," being that her ongoing cancer battle has been widely reported. She said that when more information becomes available, they will let her fans know.

"We all love her and she is just the sweetest, warmest person," Farley added.

Harper told ABC News she'll never stop fighting to live.

"Don't give up on your life. Till God strikes you dead, don't just lay there," she said at the time.

A request for comment from Harper's manager was not immediately returned to ABC News.
