VH1 'Hit the Floor' Star Stephanie Moseley Dead in Suspected Murder
Police say she died in an apparent murder-suicide at hands of husband.
-- VH1 star Stephanie Moseley died Monday of a suspected murder-suicide at the hands of her husband Earl Hayes, police have confirmed to ABC News.
The LAPD said they responded to the "Hit the Floor" actress's home on Monday morning to find the bodies of her and her husband.
"When officers arrived at the apartment complex they heard additional shots being fired," police added in a news release. "LAPD’s SWAT officers responded to the location and discovered two victims inside the apartment suffering from gunshot wounds."
The release continued, "The initial investigation revealed that 34-year-old Earl Warren Hayes shot his wife, 30-year-old Stephanie Elyse Moseley to death and then took his own life."
After the news broke, VH1 released a statement, saying, "We are incredibly saddened to hear the news of the passing of Stephanie Moseley. VH1 and the entire 'Hit The Floor' family send our thoughts and condolences to her family and friends at this difficult time."
Moseley was born in Vancouver, Canada and began her career as a dancer, where she won awards from the ages of 15 to 18, according to her bio.
"In 2005, she joined Janet Jackson’s tour and gained more publicity," the bio continues. "In 2006, her beauty and talent was recognized by actor and singer Jamie Foxx, leading him in choosing her to play his wife on his TV special. In the past two years, Stephanie has proven herself even more in the TV and film industry by starring in CW’s TV series 'Hellcats,' 'Once Upon a Time' and other various roles in movies, like 'Snow White' and the infamous 'Twilight Breaking Dawn: Part 1.'"
