The Troubled Life of Supermodel Noemie Lenoir

May 13, 2010 — -- French model Noemie Lenoir embodied beauty in her ad campaigns for Victoria's Secret, the Gap, and British brand Marks & Spencer.

But behind the camera, her life was anything but picture perfect.

Lenoir is reportedly recovering in French hospital after an apparent suicide attempt. According to Britain's Daily Mail, she was found unconscious in a forest on the outskirts of Paris on Sunday, lying beside a pile of pills and an empty liquor bottle.

According to the Daily Mail, Lenoir, 30, consumed the cocktail of drugs and alcohol at the home of her ex-boyfriend Claude Makelele, a French soccer star who is father of her 5-year-old son, Kelyan.

Representatives for Lenoir and Makelele did not immediately respond to ABCNews.com's requests for comment.

The two have reportedly had a turbulent relationship since they started dating in 2003. They broke up in 2009; shortly after, she addressed their status on her blog, writing, "I'm not and have never been married. I do have a son. I have a wonderful baby's father and have a great relationship with him, however I've been single for some time now."

In June 2009, paparazzi caught Lenoir partying with hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons, which fueled reports that they were dating.

Most recently, Lenoir has been romantically linked to Swiss millionaire Carl Hirschmann, who once dated Paris Hilton. Hirschmann was arrested in Switzerland earlier this year for allegedly sexually abusing a minor. He's currently out on bail in Zurich, where Lenoir has reportedly been visiting him.

Lenoir has built a steady career in fashion since the age of 16, when she was spotted by the Ford modeling agency. In 2001, she signed a contract with L'Oreal, and appeared in ads alongside model Laetitia Casta and actress Andie MacDowell. She's also ventured into music videos (Usher's "Hey Daddy") and film ("Rush Hour 3.")

Her friends in the industry hope she'll get better and get back to work soon.

"We're very sorry to hear this and wish Noemie a very speedy recovery," a representative for Marks & Spencer said in statement. "Our thoughts are with her and her family at this difficult time."
