What to Know Before Watching 'Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life'
The "Gilmore Girls" reboot comes to Netflix Friday.
-- Ready to head back to Stars Hollow, Connecticut? Many fans seem to be, ahead of the much anticipated revival, "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life," which will be available starting Friday on Netflix.
As the title implies, the reprise of the Amy Sherman-Palladino dramedy centers on the intense mother-daughter bond between Lauren Graham's Lorelai Gilmore and Alexis Bledel's Rory Gilmore.
Each episode in the four-part series, which will air in 90-minute installments, is named after a season of the year. It will start with "Winter."
Although "Gilmore Girls" went off the air in May 2007 after seven years, fans are ready to see just what the Gilmore girls are up to now.
Here are some tips before binge-watching this holiday weekend.
The Girls Are Back in Town
Still, Rory is trying to figure out her career after graduating from Yale University, becoming a reporter and covering the presidential campaign trail of then-Senator Barack Obama. And don't forget the wealthy matriarch of the family, Emily Gilmore, played by Kelly Bishop, who is now widowed. For fans that shouldn't be a spoiler since actor Edward Herrmann, who played her husband Richard Gilmore, passed away in 2014.

The Diner is Still the Diner
Inside the diner, nothing much has changed since Luke is still anti-technology. Remember the "no cell phones" sign? Well in "Winter," he's upgraded to attempting to prevent diners from using his WiFi. Good luck with that Luke!
