Why Wedding Planning Isn't Benedict Cumberbatch's Top Priority Right Now
The actor dished on what his "main focus" is at the moment.
-- Benedict Cumberbatch doesn't want to mix business and pleasure.
The "Sherlock" actor who announced his engagement last month to Sophie Hunter by placing an eight-line notice in the births, deaths and marriages column of The Times newspaper of London, said right now, he's focused on work. His focus on his wedding will come later, he said.
"One thing at a time," he told Popsugar at the Palm Springs International Film Festival on Saturday. "I'm playing 'Sherlock' now -- just about to start -- so my main focus is going to be on that."
Cumberbatch, 38, is not only known for his role in "Sherlock," but also "August: Osage County" and "12 Years a Slave." The British actor also stars in the recently-released "The Imitation Game," with Keira Knightly.
He and Hunter have been together since 2009, when they appeared in the film "Burlesque Fairytales."
Seems like Cumberbatch believes if you are going to do something, best to do it right and it appears he's in no rush to tie the knot, especially if he's focused on work.
A request for comment from his rep was not immediately returned to ABC News.
