The Weeknd Shows Off New Hair and New Song
The Grammy Award-winner cut off his signature locks.
-- The Weeknd, the high-pitched singer known for his signature dreadlocks, has cut his hair. Gasp!
The Canadian singer, born Abel Tesfaye, showed off his new look on social media Wednesday. Photographer Nabil Elderkin, who had previously collaborated with The Weeknd on his "Twenty Eight" music video, captured the singer with a high-top fade.
The Weeknd's new look will be featured on his album cover for "Starboy." The album is the singer's official follow-up to his critically acclaimed 2015 album, "Beauty Behind the Madness."
It's also his first full-length offering since being featured on Beyonce's "Lemonade" album in a song called "Six Inch."
The first single from the album is also called "Starboy," featuring Daft Punk. The Weeknd, 26, released a small teaser today of what fans can expect.
