A Whitney Houston Hologram Is Coming

"It's a great opportunity for her fans," said Pat Houston.

The plan is to create the hologram and content for distribution on the web via FilmOn.com and various traditional media outlets, as well as to create a live show that can tour the world in 2016, according to the company.

"It's a great opportunity for her fans to see a reinvention of one of the most celebrated female artists in history and to continue a legacy of performances that will not be forgotten in years to come," said Pat Houston, the singer's sister-in-law and the head of the Houston estate.

Whitney Houston died in 2012 at the age of 48.
