Yoko Ono Says She Didn't Break Up the Beatles
Don't blame her.
-- Yoko Ono is setting the record straight on her involvement with the Beatles' break-up once and for all.
In an interview with Us Weekly, Ono revealed 25 interesting facts about herself that fans might not know.
The 83-year-old singer-songwriter was married to Beatles co-founder John Lennon from 1969 to 1980, and was with Lennon when he was assassinated in New York City on Dec. 8, 1980.
Ono addressed reports that her relationship with Lennon caused a strain on the Beatles, shutting down the rumor that she was part of the reason that the British group disbanded in 1970.
"I had nothing to do with breaking up the Beatles. And I think Paul [McCartney] is a pretty cool dude," Ono said.
Ono also shared fun tidbits about her personal life, revealing that her "secret to eternal youth is to take an ice-cold bath once a day," and that she has "never slept more than three or four hours at a time."
The singer-songwriter paid tribute to her late husband as well, telling fans that Lennon is on her mind all the time.
"Maybe people already know this, but I miss John every day," Ono said.
