Zayn Malik Debuts New Look
Former "One Direction" member gets an edgy makeover.

Zayn Malik debuted a new buzz cut and nose ring this weekend at the Asian Awards in London, where he received an outstanding achievement in music award.
Posting a photo of him and his mother on Instagram, Malik wrote, "asian awards :) notice anything different?"
Since leaving the boy band One Direction, the 22-year-old has been in the midst of an image makeover.
A week after making the big announcement that sent shock waves through social media, Malik debuted his first solo song, a low-key ballad featuring his hypnotic vocals over a simple acoustic guitar.
Now he seems to be trading his teen heartthrob image for a more edgy one.
But that doesn't mean he has forgotten his former bandmates.
Seeming to put to rest any rumors about a rift, Malik thanked the guys in his acceptance speech at the Asian Awards.
"Tonight's about thanks," he said, thanking his dad and mom, who accompanied him. "I'd also like to take this moment to thank four of the best guys I've ever met. Everything I've done with them will stay with me for the rest of my life."
