Zendaya Responds to New Hair Controversy
Singer and actress brushed off criticism of her hairstyle at the BET Awards.
-- More hair drama for Zendaya.
The Disney star and "Replay" singer caused a stir at Sunday's BET Awards when she debuted a pixie-cut wig.
Many took to Twitter to criticize the 18-year-old for her new summery look. Not one to stay silent, Zendaya responded on Twitter with a couple of selfies.
"When people don't like your hair but they tweetin bout you tho," she wrote.
Zendaya's dreadlocked hairstyle at this year's Oscars previously drew controversy, including stinging comments from "Fashion Police" co-host Giuliana Rancic, who said the "K.C. Undercover" actress must have smelled of "patchouli" and "weed."
Zendaya blasted Rancic on Instagram for her insensitive remarks, saying, "There is a fine line between what is funny and disrespectful. Someone said something about my hair at the Oscars that left me in awe. Not because I was relishing in rave outfit reviews, but because I was hit with ignorant slurs and pure disrespect."
Rancic later apologized.

Zendaya seemed please with her entire ensemble, which included a sparkly, see-through minidress and some seriously high heels.
"Yes...I'm a tall 6'4"(with these heels) skinny glass of sparkling water and I love it," she wrote on Instagram, alongside a pic of her on the red carpet.
And when the night was over, Zendaya reminded her fans that whether they liked her latest look or not, it's only temporary.
