Along with clothes, binders, protractors and notebooks, parents also can pick up some handy back-to-school gadgets. School supplies aren't what they used to be, and the latest in school gadget gear aims to make life easier.

Here are some of the latest gadgets.

This cell phone incorporates everything teens and 20-somethings want from a phone. It's built for texting and instant messaging, and has a full qwerty keyboard. It has a separate number pad for dialing phone numbers, and a built-in music player and camera.

Keep in mind that, for younger kids, you want them to have a phone for safety, and the logistics of life, but many schools now have policies to confiscate phones if they are used during school hours. AT&T, Kajeet, and Disney Mobile all have services that allow parents to limit phone access during certain hours of the day.
