Make the most of your summer style with these trendy accessories.

Aug. 4, 2010 — -- It might be August, but there's still plenty of time to make the most of your summer style. Joining in on the latest accessory trends is an easy, inexpensive way to do it.

Kate Dimmock, fashion director of People StyleWatch magazine, visited "Good Morning America" with the best bags and shoes to keep you looking fresh. You can grab these must-haves while it's still hot and some of the looks will carry you right into fall.

Must-Have Summer Looks

Look 1: Worishofers, Canvas Summer Bag

The Worishofer sandal is definitely having a moment. This is one of those instances where an item is so uncool, it's cool. These super-comfortable shoes have shown up on the feet of indie stars like Michelle Williams and Maggie Gyllenhaal -- instantly making them a hipster's must-have. They look fresh and casually chic paired with a printed sundress and a lightweight canvas bag.

Look 2: Felix Rey, Strappy Heels

Felix Rey bags are red-hot this summer. Chelsea Clinton chose a Felix Rey tote as part of her wedding-favor gift when she tied the knot this past weekend.

The animal print clutch is transitional -- it looks great for summer with khaki and white and will work just as well in fall with an all black outfit, or even browns and camels.

Pair the bag with lace-up strappy shoes from Chinese Laundry for a sexy-sophisticated look, or a flirty dress and tights if you want to get a head start on fall!

Look 3: Grey Western Boot/Fringe Bag

Western-style accessories are also super-popular this summer. A lot of actresses, including Kate Hudson, are wearing western-style booties with frilly skirts and T-shirts around town. We love a Steve Madden pair, which will take you from summer to fall with skinny jeans and a chunky sweater. Fringe bags also have that western flair. This one from Lulu's would be great with just jeans and a simple t-shirt.

Look 4: Braided Espadrille Wedges, Bright Leather Bag

Espadrilles are a summer classic. Try an updated sandal version from Rampage with wide braided straps that are super-flattering. Stars like Eva Mendes and Emmy Rossum have been spotted in exactly the same sandals, wearing everything from shift dresses to caftans.

Summer is such a great time to work color into your wardrobe, and the easiest way to do that is with a bright bag. A shoulder bag from Forever 21 is a great classic shape and could be worn over the shoulder or cross body.

Web Extra Tip: Bold Bangles

Statement necklaces have been a big trend for a while, but it's really all about the wrist this season. Try adding bold bangles to your outfit to punch up your look. Wear one or layer a few.
