'Avengers: Endgame' actress Lexi Rabe talks online bullying: 'It really hurts your heart'

Actress Lexi Rabe jumped off the screen and into our hearts after her adorable, impactful performance in "Avengers: Endgame," playing Tony Stark's daughter and creating a thousand memes with "I love you 3,000."

But the internet can be a terrible place sometimes, and the 7-year-old has been dealing with bullying, her parents said on her official social media page earlier this week.

The family posted a video with the caption, "I hate that we even have to post this. But yet again Lexi's getting bullied."

"Please keep your opinions to yourself so Lexi can grow up in the free world. She's a normal human being and she's a child," the parents added. "Sometimes we're rushing from place to place stressed like everyone else to get to set on time or work or whatever and we seem a little grumpy. I'm sorry if you see us this way but that's life! If you ask us for an autograph we always almost say yes. If we happen to be having a bad day that might put us right on the right! We are not perfect!"

In an interview with "GMA," Lexi and her mother Jessica said the girl was just playing with her brother when someone tried to tell her how to act in public.

"Online we got a message that she was acting out in public," her mother told "GMA." "Meanwhile we were trying to get stuff ready for a premiere we were going to, and we were tired and we were sick ... I guess this woman was upset that she didn't get to come up to us and talk to us, because we were tired and we weren't in a great mood. If she would have come up to us, we would have said, 'Hello.' But she didn't."

She added, "I don't know why you need to get mad at us because we're not available. You know we're normal people, we have busy lives like everybody else."

In the video on Instagram attached to the post about bullying, Lexi introduces herself and explains that she's only 7 years old, adding, "I mess up sometimes."

But she explains that if she does, she gets punished or put in time-outs like any other child her age.

"So, please don't bully my family or me," she adds. "Bye, love you 3,000."

While speaking to "GMA," Lexi added that someone cursed on her page, to which she replied, "Excuse me?"

"She got bullied in school too, kids picked on her, kids called her names," Lexi's mom added to "GMA."

"We're trying to stop it," Lexi said of the bullying from kids and from people on her social media. "It really hurts your heart."

The family is even mulling over the idea of an anti-bullying program.

The comments in the Instagram post are mostly ones of support, showing that Lexi's fans have her and her mother's back.

"Try to block out the negativity girl. You're such an incredibly talented and strong girl! Online bullies are just wasting their time trying to tear you down," one fan wrote, while another added, "im starting a lexi protection squad, we will fight bullies and have tea parties. anyone?"

Following the incredible support, the family posted again, this time a pic of Lexi's fictional father, Robert Downey Jr., with the caption, "Say No To Bullying!"

"THANKS for ALL your SUPPORT! If you see someone saying unkind things....PLEASE report their account to @instagram. It takes a village!" the family added in the caption.

It also looks like the family is currently on a road trip and having a blast. They recently posted from the Grand Canyon, and Lexi said, "My amazing brother really cheered me up!"

In addition to her role in "Avengers," Rabe will also be featured in this year's "Godzilla: King of the Monsters."
