Blake Lively said she feels "incredibly settled" in her life as a mom.
The "Gossip Girl" alum recently opened up to Forbes about how her three daughters, whom she shares with husband Ryan Reynolds, have changed her life.
"...I think having children for me made me feel so much more in my skin," she said. "I never felt more myself or at ease in my own body or more confident -- not to say that there aren't a bevy of insecurities coming at me a million times a day, but I just feel incredibly settled."
Lively, who hasn't appeared on screen since 2020, said having kids made her realize "my time was even more precious" and made her question projects that didn't provide more "authorship" for her.
The "A Simple Favor" actress also revealed she is about to direct her first feature-length film, "Seconds," with a script from Edgar Wright.
She previously made her directorial debut on best friend Taylor Swift's "I Bet You Think About Me" music video in 2021.
Despite preparing to take on her first major Hollywood project in years, Lively said family will "always" be her priority, as it has been all her life.
"Family is at the root of everything that I do and it's also at the root of everything that I create," she said. "I want to be in films, I want to make films, I want to author films that I would be proud for my children to see. Even the gowns I wear -- I just want my kids to be proud."
