Britney Spears says she still has 'a lot of healing to do' amid father's removal from conservatorship
Spears spoke out about the importance of "self love."
Britney Spears is in celebration mode, but she knows there's still a lot of work ahead.
The singer has been living it up ever since a judge last week suspended her father, Jamie Spears, from her conservatorship. But over the weekend, she posted a more sober statement, cautioning that it's not time to pop the champagne quite yet.
"Although there is change and things to celebrate in my life, I still have a lot of healing to do!!!" Spears wrote on Instagram. "Thankfully I have a good support system and am taking time to understand it’s ok to slow down and breathe!!!!!"
"Only through self love I can pray … love … and support others in return!!!!" she concluded.
Spears' lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, said Wednesday's ruling was "a great day for justice."
Since then, Spears has been sharing photos and videos of herself and fiancé Sam Asghari on vacation in a tropical location. The couple announced their engagement on Sept. 12.
The next hearing, scheduled for Nov. 12, will focus on terminating the singer's 13-year conservatorship for good.
