Charles Kelley drops new live video of 'As Far As You Could,' his 'goodbye letter to alcohol'
The artist also thanked fans for their support during his sobriety journey.
Lady A's Charles Kelley has released a live performance video of his latest song, "As Far As You Could," recorded in London, Glasgow and Dublin.
The video features Kelley performing a stripped-down rendition of his emotional track, which he previously described as his "goodbye letter to alcohol."
The arrival of the "As Far As You Could" video comes on the heels of Lady A resuming their ongoing tour after the band postponed their scheduled 2022 Request Line Tour to support Kelley's sobriety journey.
"For me, I keep feeling so much gratitude," the singer said in a statement. "I'm so thankful to the fans for sticking with us and understanding that I needed to take some time off from touring to get better. Because I was able to focus on my recovery, we are having the best shows as a band we've ever had."
His statement continued, "Playing shows has always been one of my favorite things, and now this song has already made me feel more connected live with fans than ever before."
At the time the band paused their Request Line Tour last year, they shared a lengthy note with fans on why it was an "important decision" to make.
"We're proud to say that Charles has embarked on a journey to sobriety," their statement read. "So, right now in order to be the healthiest, strongest and most creative band we can be, Lady A will take the time with the support of our families and team of professionals to walk through this together."
