Golden Globes 2021 nominations: Complete list of nominees

The 78th annual Golden Globes will air Sunday, Feb. 28.

The nominations for the 2021 Golden Globes are officially here.

"Sex and the City" actress Sarah Jessica Parker and "Empire" actress Taraji P. Henson announced the Hollywood Foreign Press' nominees for the 78th annual Golden Globes on Wednesday, Feb. 3.

"Mank" came out on top for films while "The Crown" reigned supreme as far as TV shows, both garnering six nominations each.

On their heels were "The Trial of the Chicago 7" and "Schitt's Creek," both with five noms each. "The Father," "Nomadland," "Promising Young Woman," "Ozark," and "The Undoing" were close behind with four nominations each.

The awards show -- set for Sunday, Feb. 28 -- will be hosted by comedians Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. This is the duo's fourth time hosting together, having done so in 2013, 2014 and 2015.

Hollywood legends Norman Lear and Jane Fonda will also be honored at the ceremony. Lear will receive the Carol Burnett Award, while Fonda will receive the Cecil B. DeMille Award.

Director Spike Lee's children, daughter Satchel and son Jackson, are making history as the 2021 Golden Globe ambassadors. This is the first time two siblings of color have taken on the roles.

In June 2020, the HFPA announced it was postponing this year's Golden Globes due to the ongoing COVID-19 global pandemic. The Golden Globes' current date, Feb. 28, was the original date for the 2021 Academy Awards. This year's Oscars have now been delayed until April 25.
