'Grey's Anatomy' star Kelly McCreary gives a behind-the-scenes set tour amid COVID-19
The stars returned to set recently, and things look decidedly different.
The "Grey's Anatomy" cast and crew are back at work amid the COVID-19 pandemic, but the set looks decidedly different than it did several months ago.
Kelly McCreary, who stars as Dr. Maggie Pierce in the ABC hospital drama, told "Good Morning America" that there are "precautions on precautions on precautions" in place to ensure that everyone stays safe while shooting the show's 17th season.
In a behind-the-scenes set tour, McCreary revealed that she's tested for COVID-19 three times every week and wears a mask at all times except when shooting and having her makeup applied. In the makeup trailer, she doesn't speak to curb the risk of spreading germs.
"We're trying to keep everybody safe here. We just don't want to take any risks," she said. "We'd like to be safe and confident that we can get through the season without harming anybody [and] without taking anything home to our families."
