The Academy Award winner will direct and star in the films.
Kevin Costner's two-part Western epic has secured its release dates.
Chapter one of "Horizon: An American Saga" will be released June 28, 2024, and chapter two will hit theaters Aug. 16, 2024.
The story is set over 15 years -- pre and post-Civil War -- and follows a group of settlers and Indigenous people on America's Western frontier.
The films will "explore the lure of the Old West and how it was won -- and lost -- through the blood, sweat and tears of many," according to a synopsis for the upcoming movies.
"Spanning the four years of the Civil War, from 1861 to 1865, Costner's ambitious cinematic adventure will take audiences on an emotional journey across a country at war with itself, experienced through the lens of families, friends and foes all attempting to discover what it truly means to be the United States of America," the synopsis reads.
In a short teaser for the films, we see a glimpse of Costner on horseback, shooting his rifle at an unseen target.
Costner is directing the films as well as starring in them.
The movies also star Sienna Miller, Sam Worthington, Luke Wilson, Jena Malone, Abbey Lee, Michael Rooker, Danny Huston, Isabelle Fuhrman, Jeff Fahey, Will Patton, Tatanka Means, Owen Crow Shoe, Ella Hunt and Jamie Campbell Bower.
