Kim Kardashian joining 'American Horror Story' for season 12
Kardashian is joining the FX anthology series for its upcoming season.
Kim Kardashian posted a different kind of update to her Instagram account on Monday: She announced she's joining the FX anthology series "American Horror Story" for season 12.
FX Networks confirmed the news, as well news that "AHS" alum Emma Roberts will return for the upcoming season, to ABC Audio.
According to Kardashian's tease, season 12 is titled "Delicate" -- a reference to its apparent source material, Danielle Valentine's novel "Delicate Condition."
A publisher's description of that book, due out Aug. 1, calls it a "gripping thriller that follows a woman convinced a sinister figure is going to great lengths to make sure her pregnancy never happens -- while the men in her life refuse to believe a word she says."
Series creator Ryan Murphy told The Hollywood Reporter on Monday, "Kim is among the biggest and brightest television stars in the world and we are thrilled to welcome her to the AHS family. Emma and I are excited about collaborating with this true force in the culture."
Referring to season 12 writer Halley Feiffer, he added, "Halley Feiffer has written a fun, stylish and ultimately terrifying role especially for Kim, and this season is ambitious and unlike anything we have ever done."
In an Instagram post Monday, Feiffer wrote, "Writing every episode and showrunning a @ryanmurphyproductions show is a dream for any writer. For someone who has called this man my hero and inspiration for 20 years, it's unreal. Not to mention working with these two iconic women."
"Cannot wait to share our baby with you," she added.
Disney is the parent company of FX Networks, ABC News and "Good Morning America."
